We can learn so much from the great outdoors. You can learn to survive and live from the great outdoors. People are too attached with their cell phones and computers. And at times I have to admit I get addicted to them myself. But, our youth are losing themselves with technology, they can't do anything for themselves. If they were to ever get into an accident or to be stranded, they wouldn't know what to do with themselves. Someone who doesn't surround themselves with so much technology could handle the unforeseen and unexpected. People who have learn survival techniques or even just basic outdoor skills would have better luck than some of our children today. Alot of these skills also help people in the future in the professional realm as well. These skills give people confidence and feelings of self-reliance that prepares them for the real world and to face any sort of challenge.
Another reason why I love the great outdoors is that every time I go out into the wilderness whether to hunt, fish, camp, or just enjoy and soak up nature I get a strange yet awesome feeling that I am becoming more connected and closer to God. There are many religious people to this day and throughout history go out into the world and wilderness to connect with God and separate themselves from society so they can drown out all the distractions that we all face in life. You may not always understand or fully comprehend a message from God, but just getting it and feeling his presences can change and make you feel so much better. I feel so natural and right in the wilderness and people need to go out into the outdoors more often.
